Description

I built this gaming rig for about $900 during Christmas and Blackfriday Sales. I use this pc mostly for 1080p although I know I would be getting a 1440p monitor soon. This thing TEARS through 1080p and does an amazing job in 1440p. Tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions, I would be happy to respond to any!

Question, why buy a motherboard that's more expensive than your CPU? I hope it's not just for the wifi lol

Nice build, though that board wicked expensive. I would have opted for the Gigabyte arous b450 elite wifi, for like 130. None the less very nice build, enjoy it :D

Was thinking of a similar build. Is it safe to say you're running a stable 144fps in most games?

Yeah, I get 240fps in R6 Siege with max settings, I get about 120 fps on BF5 with max settings, you will be able to do anything 1440p below on this thing. And you may be able to do some 4k on medium settings

Incredible. Congrats. Wishing I had been ahead of the game like you and bought parts during the big sales. Great job!

Yeah, I had got the computer below for $550 November 30th, 2018 thinking I was getting something good for a beginner. So I spend like $100 on games just to figure out none of them work except TF2 and Minecraft. So ever since I had sworn myself that I would never buy a prebuilt again (except for pcs from companies like a digital storm). So for a whole entire year, I had been watching the prices patiently waiting and at the time slowly upgrading it with junk components from my mom's work. It's been a long journey getting my computer...

Yeah, I bought a CyberPowerPC laptop for $1200 thinking it would do it for me. I basically only play Overwatch, and it does okay, but there's no way it delivers a stable 144fps. But at least it has a real graphics card (GTX1050i I think). The fact that CyberPowerPC even sells the model you bought makes me sad. So many people have been tricked by that stuff.

Sidenote: I had no idea what I was missing with only 60fps. I went to a gaming lounge after only ever gaming on 60fps, and a steady 144fps made it so I could actually hit what I was aiming at. Now I'm determined to run 144fps all the time, even if I have to compromise on graphics to do it.
