Like the tittle says, I saw his video on a Xeon build with parts easy to buy on Aliexpress. So I made a purchase and got the processor, CPU cooler, motherboard and RAM. The SSD was from Amazon. The case I got on facebook marketplace. The PSU was a MIR deal from Canada Computers, and the GPU was from eBay. I was able to save on shipping for the GPU as the seller was on my way to my home town during Easter holidays.
The build came together ok but for some reason the ECC RAM wasn't letting it boot. So I got a different kit from the seller and they worked fine at full speed.
Performance wise, it plays e-sports and BR's close to 100 FPS with the right settings and isn't a bad PC all together.
I sold this to a guy on FB Marketplace who immediately tried to flip it and made some claims that it was better then it actually was. I reported the crap out of that guy to be sure!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this build. Find me on my channel building PCs at twitch.tv/misterchristie!
