Description

This is my first ( and hopefully not my last) gaming build. Ive have been waiting to migrate to the pc platform for years now, as the console market has started to lose my interest. So far i have loved my build and it maxes every game i own (bf4 at ultra gets 60+ fps with msaa off and low post aa) Of course as most builds are, this is still a work in progress, i will be upgrading the ram and the gpu down the line. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to ask questions about why i picked certain parts and what not.

not a bad price on the i7, i just paid 310 for mine......dont let people get you down....sometimes people just say crummy things to make them feel better......also you did mention everything they "mainly" were down voting you about....so i upped it for ya.

Blue prices are not what OP paid for parts. Further notes, there is almost no performance difference between 2x4 and 1x8 GB RAM and almost no difference between 1333 and 1600 MHz. We're talking about 1% performance increase from 1333 MHz to 2133 MHz.

Well it's more OP's fault he doesn't put in the actual prices.

maybe if you would read the comments posted before yours you would understand why, so its a +1 from me.

This is horribly unbalanced... A I7 which isn't necessary for a gaming build, plus a crappy graphics card... Its not even a R9! Also the ram is a slow speed in a single stick. Dual channel is a no brainer...

the r7 260x is as powerful as a gtx 650 ti boost witch is a fine gpu from what i seen and heard from it. I can max all of my games (bf4,bf3,crysis 2,gta 4, ect)

A ti boost is by no means appropriate for a high ends I7. A Gtx 760 and I5 would have been a much, much better choice.

i agree, i plan to grab a 770 in the near future. grabbed a 260x just so i can play my games with a decent frame rate.

I think you made some decent choices but no. just no. the r7 260x can NOT max out BF4 at all. I doubt it can even max out BF3.

That's not ultra preset, that's a couple of ultra settings with no AA... Upload ultra PRESET even if its still on your 1600x900 monitor

This build is not balanced at all, a B85 board for gaming? That chipset was made for buisness and office use, And why spend 100+ dollars for a 4770k and not a 4670K and 760 or 280, and why not dual channel 1666 which you could of got for the same price. Could of been more balanced for 750$, a little more research would of helped, but hey there is always next time

Like i previously stated, the mobo was a gift as was the ram, i also got the i7 for 80 bucks thanks to my friend. The 260x was the best card for the money i could afford and it has performed better than expected. I plan to grab 16 gigs of gskill or kingsiton memory.

you might want to edit the prices in your build so people can see the insane deal you got on the cpu. and then you won't get downvoted.

B85 can do gaming with no problem.

mobo and ram where gifted to me by some friends, they will be replaced down the line, first to go is the ram. Dual channel is the way to go. And i got the i7 for 80 bucks so for that price i could not say no.
