The balanced budget upgraded

by AJC559

This is my gaming build it is my first build ever and my first time playing on the pc. I love it so far I think it was well worth it everything came together perfect. I went with the I5 6600k because its basically all you need for gaming. I overclocked it to 4.4ghz with he cooler master evo and even under load I don't see a degree over 50. Gigabyte's Z170X motherboard was a solid board didn't feel flimsy the f6 bios was easy enough to use and it worked first try so I'm happy about that. I kind of wish i went with a different colored ram stick the red looks out of place but hopefully when I get my cpu cooler upgrade it covers it. they do look really badass though especially if you going for a red build. The A data SSD and Seagate 1Tb worked together great. I love the Rx 480 I overclocked to 1340mhz and getting 59 fps on unigine. Have been running every game on ultra settings and it looks great. It does get a little loud but I got headphones so I don't have a problem with it probably going to get my second card during taxes. The Zalman case was a great choice I was very happy with it fits everything but the only thing is the fans don't push a lot of air so I'm going to upgrade them soon. The power supply is pretty straight forward it worked so I'm happy. The monitor looks great. I do get tearing from time to time and in one game even I played on my xbox there was ghosting but all in all its a great monitor. the headphones work great. Cant go wrong.

Edit: Upgraded some of the components like the plan from the beginning. Finally playing in 4K which is great. Can’t run all games on ultra but I sure can hit 60 FPS with some good ol graphics tweaks. Tried going for a wireless setup. I have no problems with anything that’s wireless including WiFi. I’m very happy the way it turned out.

Got to say best CPU for gaming. I kind of wanted to wait for Kaby Lake but this processor gets the job done.

CPU Cooler

Very Happy. Easy to install and keeps that CPU cool! Great price too.

I had got this one on sale but I think its worth the original price. very sturdy board you can tell the quality of it and it hasn't failed me. Pretty good features and easy to overclock CPU.

Got these for $50 on Newegg. Might of went overboard plus it doesn't tie into the Blue theme but they do look nice.

Pretty damn fast for the price I was really surprised how fast games loaded and how fast my boot was.

Faster then console at loading games and a good price.

Does what its supposed to hold my components. The quality is great for the price. The filters do ok for keeping dust out. The fans really suck its top speed is 600rpm doesn't do much but you can upgrade but I guess the amount it'd cost to upgrade to better fans would be the cost of a better quality case.

yo where did you get windows 10 home for that? I need it!

CJHDelta 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

probably ebay, they have all sorts of cheap copies of windows from $100 all the way down to $15. But I'd be careful buying cheap copies of windows from ebay sellers because there's a chance they may not be legit product keys

Ah I see. That's what I suspected, but If he had some sort of legit source for that price I'd be interested ha

hey what kind of temps do you get with that gpu? I'm looking to buy an RX 480 but I don't know which gives the lowest temp/clock speed ratio

I think the most I got under full load was 65 degrees. I run it at 1340mhz and my memory at 2200mhz.

CJHDelta 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago
