Description

Hey guys! After reading, watching, lurking, and a lot of learning over the last like 5 years... I FINALLY BUILT A PC!!!

Okay, so this build is for a coworker's son, who wants to start Twitch streaming.

It took about 10 hours (I was born at a leisurely pace. I was also really nervous.), but everything went really well for the most part. I had some trouble with the cpu cooler mounting, and I got stuck (kinda) in a Windows loop. That being I couldn't figure out which key to press to enter the BIOS, and then through process of elimination figured out which boot drive to choose after installing Windows from a USB. I probably entered that damn registration info and re-installed Windows like 7 times lol

Also substituted one of the included NZXT fans for two be quiet! fans. Thought I was being clever btw, by routing the cables along the front and ziptie-ing them to the basement ventilation. Why didnt I just run them through the back? No-one will ever know.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Cooler works fine, assembly is easy. Dont like the cheap and flimsy mounting method though.

Case

Easy to work in. Like the layout, cutouts, included cable management, and dust filters. Wish there was a reset button.

Is the Ripjaws V RAM really a blocker for big CPU cooler like Noctua NH-D15?

No, it's really not in the way at all. But I guess that could be dependent on your mobo and how close the dimm slots are?

Great build. But why there is no sound card and Wireless net work adaptor?

Didnt think a sound card was neccessary. I can add one later if needed. And the mobo doesnt support an antenna, but I got a Netgear usb 3.0 adapter that I've been using. I dont know if it will be needed. I personally prefer a wired connection, they might have that same preference.
