This will be the replacement of my new Linux home server, where I run: - a RAID system - 2xCCTV (zoneminder) - a AmazonS3 rsync backup service - Apache2 for internal hosting - File Server - A print server - Build server for my own projects - (NEW) several vbox to play around with
The old server was over 6 years old. Still working okay, but lately running out of space and usage of zoneminder has increase the CPU load.
Excellent CPU. Good value.
Is good, and cooling my CPU nicely. But had to go online to find the instructions on to use it for a LBA 1151 socket, the attached instructions didn't have the note saying (use the same configuration as with older CPUs) although I knew the sockets had change very little. I like to confirm everything. The instructions could had also been better on how to install, the thing is HUGE and is hard to not move it around and smudge the cooling paste
Love the motherboard lots of space of HDD, and memory. Seems powerful and the bios has tons of options for overclocking
Would had preffered the modular, but not to blow the budget anymore I had to stay with this one. The extra cables can be hidden away depending on the case you get.
