IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FINALLY GET THIS BUILD DONE THE WAY I WANTED IT, BUT HERE IT IS! I AM JUST NOW POSTING THIS BUILD AS I FINALLY FINISHED THE CUSTOM WATER COOLING SYSTEM IN IT EVEN THOUGH THE ORIGINAL BUILD VERSION WAS DONE IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR. I WANTED TO BUILD A HIGH END GAMING SYSTEM THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY CURRENT GAMES AS WELL AS GAMES COMING OUT IN THE NEXT FOUR TO FIVE YEARS. I KNOW THE I7 4790K MAY SEEM LIKE OVER KILL HERE SINCE I DON'T DO ANY STREAMING, HOWEVER I WANTED SOMETHING THAT COULD HANDLE ANYTHING I THREW AT IT AS WELL AS BEING OC CAPABLE.
I AM USING THE MSI Z97 GAMING 5 MOBO.WITH THE ZOTAC 980TI AMP OMEGA GPU. THE CASE IS THE PHANTEX ENTHOO PRO WITH A THERMALTAKE 650 WATT PSU. THE OPTICAL DRIVE AND 1.0 TERABYTE HARD DRIVE HAS BEEN RE-PURPOSED FROM MY OLD PC, HOWEVER I AM USING A 480 GB SSD HERE AS WELL WHICH IS GREAT FOR FAST LOAD TIMES WITH THE MORE INVOLVED GAMES SUCH AS JUST CAUSE 3 AND FALLOUT 4 TO NAME A FEW.
THIS WAS MY FIRST BUILD AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED PUTTING IT TOGETHER! I HAD NO MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THIS BUILD. I DID ALL THE WATER COOLING SETUP AND PIPE BENDS MYSELF AFTER QUITE A BIT OF RESEARCH ON THE WEB AS TO HOW TO APPROACH WATER COOLING. I LOVE THE WAY THE WATER COOLING LOOKS IN THIS PC AND IT IS SUCH A BETTER, CLEANER LOOK THAN HAVING THAT BIG BULKY AIR COOLING CRYORIG H5 SITTING IN THERE OVERSHADOWING ALL THE OTHER COMPONENTS.
JUST A LITTLE NOTE, I DID NOT INCLUDE THE CRYORIG H5 IN THE PRICING AS I AM NOT CURRENTLY USING IT RIGHT NOW. AND I KNOW, I KNOW, THE MEMORY STICKS COLOR DOESN'T MATCH THE RED AND BLACK MSI THEMED MOBO! ROOKIE MISTAKE ON MY PART....!

thank you!! I was a little intimated at first with the water cooling and almost had to let it go as it was very difficult to find a manufacturer who made a water block to fit my graphics card. luckily bits parts came to the rescue!!
