Description

This is my own personal rig that I built a couple of months ago, Not the most high end of builds, but it is something I can play games on at decent framerates. I plan on doing upgrades with the next couple of paychecks such as a new GPU and PSU. This was mainly a budget build and was not meant to break the bank, the Phantom was purchased at a later date and is just there to allow for expansion in the future.

I'm confused, why an 8350 with a 7770? I know you said you weren't trying to break the bank but a nicer GPU would serve you longer and better with out the need to upgrade.

I'm in the process of ordering a 7970, this was just to hold me over a couple of months

That motherboard choice seems quite risky. A 900FX type board would've been safer. I'm not sure your board officially supports 125W CPUs (Such as the 8350).

A budget build with a 8350? That doesn't even make sense.. This build could've been balanced and for the price, much better computers have been built.

If you're going budget, I think an FX 6300 would have been a better choice and you would have had some extra cash to spend on GPU, of course that's my view and you might have a long term plan where this makes sense.

Or gone with an APU and passed on a GPU altogether.

It makes more sense to have bought the higher end cpu first and wait for a new line of video cards
