Description

First build in about 5 years and I must say that I forgot how many connections there were in there!

Overall I had no problems with any of the hardware. I put the mobo in the case before the H100i, but didn't connect the fans, pump, or 8 pin ATX 12V power, either. getting to those connectors up on the top of the motherboard with the H100i mounted in the case is seriously difficult. I haven't benchmarked or anything yet, but I plan to and will update then.

Aesthetically, I think this rig is pretty sick. I chose the gunmetal THRONE because I thought it would look cool and it turned out to be easier to work with than expected. Tons of grommeted holes for cable management and plenty of space to work in the main bay. Behind the mobo tray, though, there isn't much to work with. I took my power cables for top-mounted sata and internal sata through one of the empty 3.5" drive bays at the bottom to avoid adding to the fray behind the mobo tray. Craftsmanship of the THRONE was excellent as well, except for the very last thing I did on the build. The 4 pin Molex for power to the top sata drive port had wobbly pins in it that took me 10 minutes to get to sit right. That was really the only bad part, though.

Update: This thing is incredibly quiet. All you can hear is the air moving through it, even at full speed. The only part that really makes any noise at all is the LED fan array in the front of the case. Next weekend's project will be to try to re-mount or replace those for noise reduction. I have a theory that some of the noise could also come from the air being forced over the drive mounting trays which are removable; I may take the empty ones out to see what it sounds like. Thoughts?

I hope you guys like it; I'm sure you'll let me know otherwise.

Nice build. I build a rig last month ans used same Corsair PSU, but paid a lot more for it. Really nice unit.

Thanks! Both my builds have 750W Corsairs; they're the best. Corsair Link is kind of a neat feature, too.

I agree. It is on the 750HX I just used and it is a useful feature.

Do you like the rosewill throne, because IMO it looks stinking awesome

YES, everything about it. The PSU mount is padded and has big rubber standoffs, the front fans look great and aren't terribly noisy at full speed, they even made the drive bay door reversible so it can open the other way! 98/100, would recommend.

If you get a good build in it, it is a masterpiece wish I had the money to build in one of them but I also recently built a pc about overa month ago :)

I LOVE THIS CASE GUYS! Its amazing! . By the wat it has a side panel and I did not add the pics because it was damaged during shipping and Rosewill is sending me another one. I will post more pics up when I do some better cable management and put the new window panel!

Cutting it real close with that G1 and fan right in front of it I see. Aren't you quite the thrill seeker?

There's a little more room there than it looks in the pictures. Probably about an inch of space.

Must be the picture angle.

Hows the wifi card working for you? Im having trouble with mine and I was wondering if you had any problems with it?

This is actually the only thing I took from my previous PC; it's still less than a year old, however. I really like it and haven't had the first issue with it. I make sure to keep all my drivers up to date and I would advise you to try that first. I have an average sized (US) 2 bedroom apartment with the router in the front room and the PC in the back bedroom. I use the 5GHz band without issue.

Does the Cooler Make the vents unusable?

Nope! The cooler's radiator and both fans are mounted on the inside of the case. If I needed to, I think I have space for some slim fans between the cover's vents and the top of the case. I haven't looked deep into that though.
