Description

I got all the parts for my birthday and Christmas. I used to have an Alienware X51 it was a good PC but with battlefield 4 out I need a upgrade. So i did a lot of looking online to see the best price then i found this site and i decided to make the computer that i have now. i got all the parts on the 11th of Jan. Made the computer in about 2 hour after school. i have a seagate 2TB drive first and it arrived dead at my house so i got an upgrade to the WD black it was about a week before i got a new one. After about 4 days of having it windows blue screens with a sad face saying ' with missing files 0x0000007E' I have not been able to fix this problem yet. So if you know how to please help. I was able to play on 2 games before it blue screen and they ran very well but they where not the hardest games to run ( Rust and Dayz)

Will take any feedback to help me with this build or suggestions thanks.

The problem was a bad Ram stick casing the crashing so only running 8GB for now but ill get some new ones soon I also got a new disk drive because scan sad that was the problem and it as not so i have to the LG one is very good the Samsung is very loud 20/05/2014

Overall it's a great build with good part choices.. There may have been a few areas that you could have saved a few bucks without much performance loss, but hey it's still great. +1

I was just getting blue screens on my build (a door stop compared to yours) and i started with doing a memory test to make sure those were ok. Make sure drivers are up to date. Lastly i switched to a different HDD and reinstalled windows and all my problems went away. So either i had a bad install or a bad HDD. Beyond that good luck. Nice build

Nice clean build and love your high end parts selection. future proofing for me is better than constant upgrades :) used most of your parts on my build as well. Regarding the blue screens, its usually caused by multiple issues so you might want to check your mobo bios version. Sometimes updating it to the latest one solves compatibility issues and solves the problem. also make sure to try and do a mem test because its one of the most common cause of blue screen and booting problem. make sure memory kit and the slots have no problem and work from there.(sometimes the dim slots is the one with issues). after that try to redo a fresh windows install. good luck and hope you fix the issue s you can enjoy your nice build :)

Just a note, can see you (or somebody) in picture 4. Looks a bit old to be in school.

Anyhow, most of the part choices are okay, but I think your MB choice is really, really overkill. You have like one graphics card... and I don't think there are any worthwhile features to be worth the price premium. There's no reason for you to be getting that monster.

Dunno how often power failures occur over there, but remember to consider a UPS. Also, consider your sound setup at some point if you haven't already. You're not getting the most out of a good system without visuals and sound.

Oh, and maybe upgrade to a Korean 1440p monitor. You have a 780 Ti, should do decently.

Cool build, if you don't edit I would have gotten a I5 and saved some bucks maybe got an extra SSd or something. Quite overkill for first build :P
