Description

Built it because my laptop just wasn't cutting it anymore.

Works very well overall. I just wish I would have picked a modular power supply. The fan that comes with the water cooler is very loud (I replaced it recently and saw a huge reduction in noise) and the pump is also loud (but tolerable). I also replaced the stock top fan with 2 corsair af120s. (which are great).

The BIGGEST PROBLEM with this build, was that the hole in to access the back of the motherboard to attach CPU coolers wasn't quite in the right spot. I had to cut away a bit of it to make room.

The monitor listed here is the more modern version of the one I actually have (same price and specs though). (same with the keyboard)

First picture shows it with only 1/2 the ram, one HDD, and no graphics card installed... (the rest are normal) Yes my ability to manage cables is severely lacking...

you should check out a guide on cable management, it's quite easy once you get it down, http://www.instructables.com/id/Guide-To-Computer-Cable-Management/step4/Starting-Fishing-the-Cords-Were-You-Want-Them/ - This guide really helped me through it. Other then that nice build!

Should of got 8GB's of RAM instead of 16 and am HD7950 instead of a 660ti. Other than those points, nice build :)

Some people might have a need for it, but most people don't. He might just be one of these people.

He might be able to, but unless something is HEAVILY optimized for Cuda, there are no benefits to getting a 660TI compared to a 7950

The benefits were A) PhysX, and B) Someone offered to buy the 660TI for me.

PhysX is a bad reason IMO but someone buying the 660ti for you is a very good one :P

Wellll... I'm a huge fan of Borderlands 2. And yea, I thought it was a good reason too. :P

I actually built it with 8GB of RAM to begin with, and someone offered to buy me more RAM for Christmas.
