Description

I've been putting together my own rigs since I was a teenager. First computer was an x86 without a hard drive and I was 5 years old.

Over the years, I've had a 286, 486, and then my first gaming rig was a PII 400 with my first Radeon graphics card. I paid like $300 for that and that was a lot of money for a high schooler!

Many more builds came after...

Anyways, I'm sure we've all had our share of history and nostalgia so I'll move this closer to the future...

My last rig was an i7-930 with a GTX 480. I built it in 2010 and really haven't games much after about 2012, got busy with work and consoles became convenient.

The Oculus got me excited again about PC games and so I decided to jump back again. Man how things have changed. And Oculus aside, PC Gaming has really stayed the course, so I'm just excited regardless of VR.

Anyways, see the pics, my first build after 6 years and my first with fancy LED lights and liquid cooling for the CPU. Took my 4-5 hours to build because I kept second guessing myself lol. Also, currently the card in there is my old GTX 480 (like the rest of the world, I am waiting for the 1080 to arrive...)

Thanks!

Nice build! Could we please have some more pictures with the side panel on? I am considering doing a build with very similar components and i am wondering how it will look.

Should've waited a few more weeks for the price of the 1080 to go down, you could've saved like $300
