Description

Budget build for latest tech specs. A little over 800, but with an X470 instead of an X570 you could easily make this under $700. Beats out 8770K and 1660 Ti once overclocked. Beast of a machine for the price range. VR READY. Good for light rendering and workloads, much better for 1080p gaming, can do 4K. Would get a better power supply, a couple M.2s and an RTX GPU down the line to take full advantage of the 4.0 PCIe on the Steel Legend board. Over all killer machine. Worth every penny. CPU is cheaper today too on cyber Monday, worth a try for a first time build or enthusiast.

4.125GHz, 1.235V Couldn’t sit stable at 4.2, would recommend getting the 3600X or 3700X if you wanna make sure the silicone lottery lets you OC that high.

Generally its harder to overclock the X ryzen CPU's, also I know a guy who has a system with a 3600 with a stock cooler and he got 4.3 stable.

You can tell it's a first time build but it still looks great. And it beats my first build.

Do you mean the 8700k not the 8770k? also I don't think it will beat the 1660 ti in all titles, but maybe some. I am not that familiar with the 1660 ti benchmarks so I could be wrong.

Get some fans for intake, it will significantly improve thermals, especially in this case.
