Description

Heres my brand new build! I originally had older parts in this case, however a friend wanted to build his own computer, so i ended up selling him my old parts and pretty much overhauling my whole system - with the exception of my mouse and keyboard and case.

I was running an i7 4790k before and the obvious step up was the 6700k, I overclocked it to 4.6 ghz and the processing difference was very noticeable, especially with the new AIO cooling!

I also used to have a sandisk 240gb ssd and the loadtimes are noticeably better with the new samsung ssd as well.

As far as the gtx 1080 ftw goes, its amazing, my first card was under performing so I had it RMA'd (thats why theres sli, i got bored and decided to slap it in before I sent it back) Anyways, with the new 27" ROG 1440p monitor I got, theres no game this card can't max out, I never realized how beautiful project cars, hitman, csgo and now no mans sky look in 1440p, its insane, and everything is powered by my beefy 850w platinum rated power supply

I tried going with an evga themed build and it turned out really well, The build runs quietly and I'm ecstatic with the way this turned out!

cable management is still pretty bad, I just wanted to have this thing running

Pretty good other than dem cables boi. Also you have the FTW DT model listed in your part build, which is separate from the standard FTW.

Yeah, like i said, wanted this thing running, cables are atrocious right now haha, and the only reason I did the DT model is beacuse the standard FTW has no price available on part picker

its a great motherboard! however no usb 2.0 headers! >:( as you can see the nzxt internal usb expansion in the messy cable photos inside the case. the lack of usb 2.0 kinda pissed me off but other than that i love the mobo

yeah, it rubbed me the wrong way too. i didnt think that was something i had to verify was on the board. i really need to run corsair link. i tried a adapter, no luck.

That awkward moment when one GPU costs more than your gaming rig
