Description

This is just a PC for me to use over weekends and holidays when I am not at uni as my current PC is far too bulky to be transporting regularly. Main use will be gaming and programming.

Not really had a chance to play around with this PC as I may have to start again on it. When I turn it on via the button it doesn't always send power to the graphics card or motherboard correctly, the case fans always spin and light but the POST fails and the graphics card doesn't start. Sometimes the button works fine and restarting the PC causes no issues. Simply moving the case seems to affect the boot up problem. I think it could be motherboard issue but i'm hoping not. any ideas would be great.

Will post more info on this build when I've fixed it.

Why did you get the GPU and CPU separately? For around 120 GBP you could probably get an A10 5800k or higher, which has the same CPU and a better GPU.

it mostly was down to price at the time but in hindsight that would have worked better

You should have gotten atleast 4 gigs of ram if you are going to game and program and maybe a slightly better gpu.

I do have 4Gb read the spec... I don't need to have a better card, as long as it runs the game at some form i'll be happy. this is just for killing time with a bit of work or gaming every so often. I have this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/Dc3 for when i'm at uni

I did read the spec, and I assure you, you only have 2GB listed.

Your pictures only have 1 installed. So let me get this straight, you're not running dual channel and you have a mismatched 4GB of ram... Why?

the first and third pictures disagree with that, trust me i put the sticks there. one of them is green so you can't see it as well.

Why? because i was building on a tight budget and didn't need the performance to be top class

This isn't that great... highly underpowered GPU for gaming.
