Plays CS: Source at a steady 58 fps (med settings, 768p)
I picked up an old Dell optiplex 360 at my local goodwill, I know its ****** but it was 19.99.
It was missing only a Sata data cable and RAM. Bought some patriot viper clocked at 1066 mhz (wasn't on pcpp) It has a a 160gb hdd and an old GeForce 9300 GE (still not on pcpp)
Basically its a great deal and I have ordered a core 2 quad Q6600 and a Radeon HD 7470 1gb ddr3. I'm still looking for a monitor. I am also planning to replace the stock psu before I install the new cpu.
UPDATE: Bought a cheap 320gbp hard drive. I have the radeon hd 7470, but I need a Vga adapter :(
1/10/17: quad core installed. The gpu was listed as an hd 6450, but is a hd 7470. Orderd an apeiva 450w psu because the original is old and about to die. 255w was suprisingly runing with the new hardware. Great pc for what i do. Plan on buying a gt 730 2gd5 and giving my brother the 7470. Half life 2 is now playable high settings, 1024p, 60+ fps.
2/11/19: power supply failed (no surprise) and hdd so im building a new pc with a i5 and 1050ti.
Update: fixed part list for 100% accuracy.
