Good build with nice parts! Two years is quite sometime ago but looks like you manage to keep it around for quite some time! Thanks for sharing your build, it looks good.

Pretty nice build! I'm pretty sure you could have gotten more for your money with the SSD. If you went for the newer Samsung 850 EVO series. for the same price you could have gotten a 256 GB SSD that's approximately 32% faster. http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-850-Pro-256GB-vs-Samsung-840-Pro-128GB/2385vs1890 It never hurts do do a little research on all your parts before building a computer to get the best for your money.

i think at the time (november 2013), pc case gear had a sale on so i picked it up for $79. trust me, i spend at least three weeks researching this build and annoying /r/buildapc with a hundred questions!

ooooooh I get you. You must have gotten some good use out of that SSD then. :)

I don't know what you are talking about. I've never seen that period in my life.

do you not need usb ports or buy wireless and a sound card? so confused on how to build

a bunch of usb ports came with the motherboard (4 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0), then i got another 2 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0 with the case. i used wired networking because it's faster and more reliable, so no wireless card needed, and i'm not really an audiophile so i haven't bothered with a soundcard yet - i just used the one on the motherboard.

let me know if you have any other questions!
