Description

Build evolved into the "black and white" look that is all the rage these days.

I was going for a "best value" build. However, I splurged a bit on the MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Quick Silver, which is a GREAT card. The Deepcool CAPTAIN 120EX is a great, and showy, cooler...but the pump in my unit seems a bit loud.

very attractive build +1 :-)

I love the 400C case. the 'door' clear side panel makes for extremely easy access.

Also very compact and has great cable management for the size of the case.

The only downside is the front panel is quite difficult to remove.

Good combination of parts and upgradability made easy.

..and affordability. I was going for an "under $1500" build and was more than able to hit that by shopping sales, etc...Took a while to accumulate the parts though!

Very nice build. Plans to overclock?

farmecologist submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

The Krait Gaming 3X motherboard has 'automatic' overclocking. I'm just doing that for now and it has been stable.

As for the GTX 1070, it has been fantastic for 1080P gaming. I have the PC connected to a 1080P projector so that is the max resolution for now.

Nice build...any reason why you left the PSU shroud off?

farmecologist submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Not really..other then I like the "bare" look. And the RM750i PSU is white/black...so it matches the color scheme.
