Description

My first attempt at a gaming PC build. Please comment any tips/opinions/questions!

I replaced the regular case fan with another Corsair SP120, which I linked to the already provided lighting controller. The PC runs great, achieving solid high FPS on high settings in every game I’ve played. If you are considering a build like this, I would probably spend a little more and get a slightly quieter graphics card as this one can be quite loud under stress. It doesn’t bother me but it might affect your decision.

Do ever consider getting a bigger SSD or HDD?

Might get a 2TB HDD at some point. Wanted the SSD for faster boot times etc. I have another PC in my house so this build doesn't really need that amount of storage for me personally.

why ryzen 7 1700? the r5 3600/r7 2700/2700X/r5 2600/2600X/r7 1700X are cheaper now! or it's expensive in your country?

When I bought the 7 1700, it was cheaper than the price stated, think I paid about £120 for it. When paired with the fast RAM, I get some really good performance out of it for the price!

I see, ryzen like fast RAMs

But 2nd gen likes it even more and the 2600/2600x would have been a better option

yes, especially the 2600X and the 2700 comes with better stock cooler

But the 2700 would be out of the 1700 price range. Even the 2600 is pushing the budget and the spire cooler is still good.
