Description

This is my $1500 Gaming PC. My price limit (obviously) was $1500. I already had a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset so that took around 400 dollars off the price which left me some room to build. I have always wanted the Azza Genesis 9000 Case just because of how big it is and it's unique reverse atx design. I love doing things different and it stood out to me. Now, because the case was black and red I decided to make the color scheme to match. Luckily, there are many black/red color schemed hardware pieces out there. I built this PC for gaming but I use it for everything from Word (school) to Photoshop (drawing tablet...etc). When I have the motherboard in STANDARD mode I can run BF3 on Ultra settings (1920x1080p monitor 60 Hz) with 80-200 FPS. With the Phanteks cooler I am running at around 55 degrees Celsius under full load. When the MoBo is OC (CPU at 4.2 and Mem at 1866) the temperature rises to 62 degrees celsius and under. It runs like a champ and is insanely fast on boot up using the SSD. I only run Windows 7 and BF3 (with all map packs) on the SSD. Every other game I put on my 2TB Hardrive. I don't have a picture of the computer insides all organized and tied together yet because I didn't have my Red velcro ties in when I took the above pictures. I haven't had any problems yet with any part of the computer and the case is just beautiful. It works very well and the air flow is great. If you guys have any questions you can comment on this post or email me at "autry.nicholas@gmail.com." I will be open to any comments, suggestions, or questions. I could write so much more but I feel this post would be to cumbersome to read. Thanks! (FYI: In the picture above with the case open I didn't do the wiring organization yet. You see a velcro band on the fan wires but that was temporary - will get more pics up soon.)

UPDATE: I switched out cases because I wanted to do a Steampunk build with my Azza case. I now have the Corsair 750D which is one of the CLEANEST looking cases out there.

nice build that case is weird how the motherboard is. also you said "When I have the motherboard in STANDARD mode..." so what other modes does it have?

I think he may be talking about the one touch OC button on the board. It's a cool feature, but doesn't really give you much OC. It's safe, but you can get a lot more out of tweaking the bios.

You are correct. It is safer for a beginner over clocker. But there is a definite difference in performance when it is over clocked. Although he standard mode plays bf3 on ultra with 80 and above fps so OC is not needed yet.

The MSI board has an Eco mode, Standard mode, and an OC mode. As the other guy said it OCs your board safely if you are new to the concept. It OCs the CPU from 3.4 to 4.2. The case is designed for vertical air flow and it works really well. Also, you can reverse the motherboard tray back to normal if you want. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it!

Nice build but maybe you should have saved a little for a better table, so you can actually fit your mouse pad on it hahaha.

But very nice build.

Haha that mouse pad is HUGE but it's perfect for gaming. The table is just perfect bc I enjoy having the monitor close and the speakers close. I may buy another desk in the future but that's a long way off. Thanks for commenting!

I personally prefer the performance of the EVGA ACX SC GTX 770 along with their customer service can't be beat or matched.

I don't have any experience with that model but having a good customer service is always a priority.

I'm enjoying mine, only thing that bugs me is when using the MSI software for OC Mode, Gaming Mode, and Silent Mode... sometimes when switching from Silent to OC Mode... it takes a while to engage while your looking at a black screen for 30 seconds or so.

Mmmm. I go into the UEFI BIOS to change my modes. It does that after you push the OC button?

Yeah the button on the MSI Gaming App. It's an easy noob way to OC the GPU. I notice when I go from silent mode to OC I get a black screen for a while until it get's itself together. Not a big deal, just funny because I built this beast for no wait times ;) Anyways, nice rig! Hope it serves you well. Keep this updated on your system because I built one very much the same this week.

I don't believe the motherboard OC's the GPU does it? I will have to download the MSI gaming app program. I will for sure be uploading better quality pictures now that everything is complete and I will update how it performs in the next coming months. Thanks man! (5 minutes Later) just re inserted my gpu cd haha just saw the gaming app on it :P apparently I didn't see it earlier.

I am not... My brother is though haha. Why do you ask?

The case. It feels like it's backwards to me. So, I thought maybe there is such thing as a lefty build. It's not a bad thing it's just I've never seen a build where the mobo is on right and HDDs on left.(when your facing it)

Awh yea. It is a Reverse ATX design. Putting the hottest object at the top of the case hitch is the GPU. it has a vertical airflow design and it works fantastically I might add.

It's fantastic. I haven't had a single problem with it. Can't even hear the fan. Very quiet system. Only fans I can hear are the two HUGE fans that came with the case for vertical airflow.
