My mom wanted a desktop to do Microsoft Word, Excel, and email stuff. Thought I might go a bit over kill and get 16 GB of RAM, an after market cooler, and an M.2 drive. The ram I got ran stable at 2993, and the 200GE ran stable at 4.0.

Worked fine at 3.2 when opening and closing tabs, but decided to overclock to 4.0.

The red design on the side is just an adhesive design, and doesn't have a heat spreader so I wouldn't expect to hit 3000 MHz.

Good build, I made a misunderstood decision a few months ago similar though... You could have gone for the much better R3 2200G APU it comes with a great heatsink, and saved on the motherboard, gigabytes B450-DS3H is what I have and it's more than capable of overclocking my APU 3.9Ghz, RAM 3200, RX580.

+1 for 200GE office builds! Sure, the 2200G is double the cores and better GPU, but for so many office tasks it simply doesn't matter.

Hi probably the athlon 200ge support max 2666mhz ram speed, so it's not necessary to let them at 3000mhz.
