Not a gamer, built this for 4K video editing, but now that I have the capability, I might as well start gaming a little.
Everything posted during external set-up, no problems.
May i ask why the 1300w PSU? Otherwise, nice build sir :)
You beat me to it :P I was gonna ask the same question. +1 build :3
1300 watts is a bit high. Even with 3 970's in SLI wouldn't need that much. Could've gone with a cheaper mobo as well. I picked up a Z97A from Newegg Open Box for $103, OC's just as good as the other's. Build is great looking!
well, he might be upgrading to dual 295x2 in crossfire which the cards alone are over 1000 watts drawn
I knew many of you would ask that question haha. The reason was purely cost, and also in case I wanted to do a 2-way SLI (and more components) in the future. I purchased the 1300W PSU on sale for $160 and it also had a $30 rebate, so it came out to being $130 before tax. The 1000G2 costs ~$150 and the 850W ~$130 so it was a no brainer.
Very similar build to mine, other than the 1300w psu that you will get grief for, great build!
I agree with everyone else about the PSU. But the rest looks beautiful.
Solid build, But i gotta ask why you bought such an overkill PSU.
OK great build but I have a question. How loud are the fans?
Surprisingly very quiet. My old (10yr old) laptop makes more noise.
Nice build but why the 1300 watt psu????????
Oooohhhh. Haha that makes much more sense now
$2k, DVI to VGA Adapter to monitor :P and gripe gripe gripe PSU... Why complain when really... You want headroom, not max it to the brink all day long. good balance, well built. +1
lol, next purchase for me is a good 27" 1440 monitor, waiting for one to go on sale.... ;p
