Description

I built this computer December last year and so far it is the best computer i have ever used.

The CPU is one of the best and is a must get for it price and features. I was able to Over Clock this baby from 4.0 GHz to 4.5 GHz, any further then that I have voltage problems.

The GPU is not the best in the world but it is really good. I am able to set every game I have to the maximum settings available without any sudden drops from my 60+ fps, only one of my games struggles with max settings and that is 'Rise of the tomb raider getting less than 30 fps in some cases. So i had to go from Ultra to High settings on that one. I plan to get a extra GPU so I can use two in a SLI configuration to make my computer look and behave like a beast.

I went with 8 gbs of ram instead of 16 because you don't need 16 yet. Most (probably all) games only require 6-8 gbs of ram these days. I plan to upgrade to 16 in the near future.

I went with this configuration of a 500gb ssd as my boot drive and a drive for my every day programs, and a 2tb hdd for my steam games. I have already used half of my hdd and it is still preforming like a cheetah. (My hdd is actually a blue series hdd, its just it was not shown on this website and this one is exactly the same).

I went with this cooler because it is one of the best AIO water coolers I have ever seen. It looks good with its LED and its sleeved water pipes, and its performance is just as good has its big brother the H100i GTX thanks to its dual fans and a very thick radiator.

I went with this motherboard because its not the best, but its really good and its all you would really need. It supports Tri Crossfire and Dual SLI, Supports Thunderbolt 2 PCIe cards and a dedicated fan header for a water cooler.

EDIT: I Can't be bothered creating a whole new part list exactly like this one but without the wifi card so im just gona say this: When i got the wifi card i would not connect to 5ghz channels as it said it would. So i refunded it and just moved comp somewere else so it can get ethernet.

The GPU is not the best in the world...

but but... it's certainly not the top, but I wouldn't go that far. it's making it sound like it's rubbish which it's not :/

good parts but honestly though with nearly $2000 spent, I would have gotten a 980 Ti.

as for a name: "Jet Black"?

well... he did actually say

The GPU is not the best in the world but it is really good

XD not sure I read that as 'rubbish', but eh...semantics... (unless he updated the description after yar comment, in which case, I apologize)

the price did include some expensive peripherals, so that makes the build seem more expensive than the PC itself really was.

also, I like the "Jet Black" name, 'tis fitting.

Wait the Blue and Black drives are the same? I thought the Black Drives had a lower platter density than the Blues? I like the build man, but it is just begging for some cable extensions or cablemods cables, and a little cable management lovin' to make it awesome! Got any more pics?

black drives have faster rpm but thats really it. so mine is exactly the same as the black but with 7200rpm. Yes i am thinking of getting some cable mod sleved cables. And also remanaging the cables

So apparently there is a black screen issue with the 970 and running two separate monitors at different resolutions or sizes, have you ran into this issue

+2 for the parts

-1 for the razer stuff, but that's personal opinion, don't like the razer greens as much as cherry MX

I am running an EVGA 970, with one LG 21:9 and one acer 16:9 Runs both resolutions at the same time just fine.

Nice Build!

+1 for quality

How do you like the BenQ monitor. I know they are the low end for cost. but how is the proformance and is it worth the money?

I dont really care too much about the monitor but if ur a 1080p gamer, this one is pretty gud.

Forgot to mention, when i recieved the wifi card it would not connect to 5 ghz channels. so i got a refund and just moved it down to a spot in my house with ethernet. The card had 3 antennas btw.
