Before we begin I must let you know, English isn’t my first language so fair warning on grammar and spelling >.<
Hello fellow PCpartpickers!
I’m just a simple gamer name Biw. Throughout my entire life i’ve been a gamer, however I only have been into pc gaming when SWTOR came out. Being 15th and 16th year old at the time and knew nothing of PC gaming except that i wanted to play that game. I begged my parent to buy me a computer. They agreed and said that i can borrow money from them and had to paid it off monthly. So i got a job and spent $1,700 on my very first “gaming” computer. The mighty DELL XPS 9000! came with a blazing fast i7-920 locked CPU, Nvidia 260 GPU, and a Locked Motherboard. With that, I got my foot in the door into the world of gaming PC.
Thought my years of owning the computer I ran into tons of problem with my computer. Let me tell you, without GOOGLE I would of given up along time ago. Because I had to solve these problem myself I had picked up a lot of knowledge about computer. As new games come out and my computer got older I had to find a way to keep up or i wouldn't be able to play the games i wanted at the settings I wanted. So with that said my first upgrade was the GPU, I bought a used ASUS 560ti for my first upgrade. A year or so later I got a AIO CPU liquid cooler (H80) Which did not fits into my XPS 9000 with the side panel installed. That wasn’t only problem the fan H80 had didn’t fit with the mounting holes on the back of my DELL case. To fix this I left my side panel open and ZIP tied the radiator and fans to the back of it lol. These were just a few things I encounter do my younger years.
Fast forward a bit, 5 - 6 years later, I have a decent career now and my computer is getting old. So I thought it's time to upgrade. My latest game I am playing hardly break 35 FPS at medium setting. Black Desert Online. So I decided with all my knowledge I am gonna build a custom PC of my DREAM! (That I can afford hehe)
If you have made it this far, I thank you for having patience with me hehe.
- The BUILD!
As you might already know, I will be using this computer mainly for gaming. However I have picked up photography. I do photography for my friend’s company and as a hobby. I also use Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator pretty often now. Hoping to get into Video editing sometime soon.
Reason for parts are below! Thank you for reading and any tips are welcome!
PS. I posted a picture of my first rig for fun ^(Its the first picture)
I swear, I was about to tear my hairs out trying to decide on 4790K or 6700K. In the end I couldn't justified the price of DDR4 and at the time $400 for 6700k.
But 4790k is still a beast as you all already know.
Like i had mention earlier, H80 served me well over 5 years without a problem and ran like a champ. So with new build why not get latest and greatest. Sure 1 or 2 AIO CPU cooler that might be better, But i guess corsair got me on customer loyalty :)
This is a "Dream" machine so of course you guys know I have to spend a little extra to get what I "want" not just on the needs. I gave it 4 stars because I felt like Asus could of gave it a bit more feature considering the cost. But I do love the look.
Amazing ram, I got it for $120 on sale, So i can't hate. Looks amazing, preform amazing. What not to like?
The usual, got it for like $75 on sale. You guys should already know whats up with this one.
Let me tell you! This thing is a beast! amazing packaging to amazing performance. With the custom fans installed, It sure made for a tight fits!
Got this bad boy on sale too. Told you already love this look and corsair got my loyalty :)
Let me just say.... Not many thing is life has a 10 YEARS WARRANTY on it. This is one of them lol. Great PSU Looks great, runs like a champ, back by 10 yr. For the price how can you not justified?
Old faithful. Reason I picked this over Windows 10 is because...... Backward ability? If i would have got with a window 10 from the start and I happen not to like it. Too bad i'm suck with it. This way I put on Window 7 first and i can upgrade for free! And I can always go back if I don't like what Window 10 has to offer! :)
