What can I say about this besides it is an amazing machine. I am a very serious gamer and this thing serves me well. Its a upgraded PC from my old rig with the only remaining parts left being the CPU, Motherboard and RAM. I chose to upgrade the CPU, motherboard and RAM last because of the new coffee lake release happening soon. Still haven't decided if I want to go with a 7700k or the new 6 core 8700k followed up by a whole new motherboard and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. In the mean time though, as is, this thing is a monster at 1080p gaming. It hasn't disappointed me yet with any game I've thrown at it. It's unstoppable and I have my amazing MSI GTX 1070 Armor OC as well as my i5-4690 at 3.5GHz with turbo boost of 3.9GHz to thank for that. I've only thrown a couple games at it so far because I am a main gamer kind of guy where I stick to one game for months at a time haha, but those games have been Overwatch, CS GO, H1Z1, PUBG (playing on high to ultra settings and still getting 80-140 fps) and Call of Duty titles, with everything besides PUBG on maxed settings and as I look at my fps counter all I can do is smile. Let me know what you guys think of my build, and what path I should take down the road for upgrades. Happy to share :)

Part Reviews

One of the best i5 CPUs out there.

CPU Cooler

Best air cooler on the market right now. Its a little loud but I don't mind at all getting 25C idle temps and 55C max load temps, the noise is worth it.

Very solid durable motherboard and has never caused me a problem.

Basic ram, does what it need to do.

Best 2.5" SSD you can buy right now by far. For the price and performance, its unstoppable.

Been in use for over 3 years and not one problem. One of the best HDDs for the price.

Video Card

1080p monster. Has not disappointed me yet with any game I've thrown at it at max settings. Temp never exceeds 70C. All around amazing graphics card. Literally the only con was no backplate and cause I am and aesthetics kind of guy, I had to buy one :P

This case is the cherry on top of my build. Provides a clean sexy dark tint look while still being able to see your inside of your build. Supports up to 6 case fans and liquid cooling. If your dead set on a tempered glass case, this should be your choice.

Power Supply

EVGA is the king of PSU's. I probably wont go back to any other brand. It has a eco setting for the noise and for the price at 80+Gold, buy this psu.

Case Fan

Kind of cheap, definitely replacing soon.

Its the only 144hz monitor I've owned but I am still going to say its the best. The display on this thing while gaming is amazing.

Very nice keyboard. Made of aluminum instead of plastic with MX Cherry red switches, just feels more solid then other keyboards. Nice software for it to change the lighting and all around great mechanical keyboard.

I rock the palm grip and this is by far the comfiest mouse I have put my hand on.

This headset does have good sound quality and microphone quality thus the 3 stars, but I am still very disappointed with this headset. It has only caused me problems since day one. The software doesn't recognize the headset ALL THE TIME. I have to reinstall the software to get it to recognize it and then a couple days will go by and boom its unrecognized again. Also every time I change my playback device, a windows message comes up saying the enhancements on this headset are causing problems. THERE IS NO ENHANCEMENTS ON THIS HEADSET, there is absolutely no way for me to stop that message from popping up and its about to drive me insane, or drive me to go for a steelseries headset instead. I would not reccomend this headset or any headset from Logitech as where I heard it isn't only this one that causes problems. Logitech, get your head in the game guys, your losing valuable customers.

Hey so did the graphics card block any drive bays since the case supports video cards up to 395mm long, but video cards over 280mm may block drive bays. Since the Asus - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card is 298mm long

For the Phantekes p400? No the drive bays for 3.5" drives are hidden and the bay for the SSDs are mounted on the back.

the benq 144hz? i would strongly recommend it, its a great monitor but in my opinion you should definitely at least get the 1060 6gb not 3.
