I was looking to buy that keyboard for an HTPC I am setting up. I see you only gave it 3 out of 5 stars. What do you like / dislike about it?

I actually built this about 3 months ago. I have used the keyboard for a little while. I found it feels a little cheap in my hands. Also there are some minor annoyances, such as when the keyboard is in my lap it sometimes causes the signal to drop, and the placement of the right shift key is odd.

Edit: but for what i need it to do, it gets the job done.

Thanks for the info. The primary user will be my wife and she will be picky if it drops the signal a lot. Guess I will evaluate other options. Thanks again!

...Z77 board with an i3? Unless you plan on upgrading the CPU, you should have gotten an H77 and saved some money. I do think that the Z77 has hardware virtualization though, which may be needed for a server if you run it through a VM. I don't know, but you really should have just gotten an H77.

Only certain motherboards will work with a hackintosh system. thats probably why OP went with that model.

Nice build OP :)

Hmm, well that's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure.

Yeah I was thinking that, but it's probably for hackintosh compatibility.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like someone already said this, lol that's what I get for not scrolling down all the way.

I planned on that, but the microcenter combo deal i got dropped the price lower on the z77 board. They didnt have the h77.
