A lot of brands I've never heard of in this build but sounds like they perform great and look so too.

How the hell do you barely know these?! The only one that is sketchy is OLOy .

Yeah never heard of OLOy nor Rosewill probably because in Australia major retailers don't typically sell them.

Rosewill is a pretty popular budget to mid entry level company. Im Canadian, and im pretty sure its the same thing in the US

Rosewill is actually Newegg's brand I believe, but not very good in my experience.

Rosewill is owned by newegg you can trust them depending on the specific item but I feel like OLOy is kinda sketchy

Can you use the ryzen 5 3600 with the b450 out of the box? I thought that you had to do a bunch of stuff to make them work together (update the Mobo with a processor of a previous gen etc, is it true?)

I have the same question, if anyone has the answer i'm just tagging along !

you just have to update the UEFI/BIOS. But MSI has this cool thing where they make factory updated MOBOs so you don't have to and this is one of them

I’m about to start my first build and it is my understanding that standard B450 boards are hit and miss. Some come with BIOS already updated depending on how new the stock is from manufacturer. I believe there will be a sticker placed on the box indicating this if it has already been updated by manufacturer. Otherwise, the board will have to be flashed with latest BIOS prior to installing a 3rd gen cpu. Either an older Ryzen cpu will need to be installed first to update the BIOS, or a board with “BIOS flashback” can be updated with no cpu installed through usb. The “max” boards from MSI are supposed to be 3rd gen ready and include a larger BIOS to accommodate the graphics in the BIOS. The older B450 boards will work, but will be running a BIOS “lite” which strips out the graphics in BIOS and looks more like an old school BIOS. All that being said, I will be using the B450 Tomahawk Max for my first build.

And, I’ll be using a wireless PCIe adapter for WiFi on the B450 Tomahawk Max.

Love the build, quick question for you - are you getting a stable 150 FPS on Fortnite with higher than lowest settings?
