Description

Gaming and homework, no problems in the slightest.

Editing Prices and such, sorry I definitely did NOT pay the prices on some of these parts.

and yes I do lots of rendering in revit and inventor when I'm watching movies or playing games, so the ram does get put to use occasionally.

The Graphics Card I got pretty close to when the 7000 series came out, which is why the price is high on that one, otherwise I was very patient and got most of these at different times (especially during winter sales and black friday deals).

I don't see the need for the 16GB memory, but the description is so short I'm sure there was a reason for that.

During a winter sale the RAM at the time was going dirt cheap so I upgraded it in sort of a "why not?" fashion, plus as I edited in I do renderings and stuff for class and my internship so it helps a bit.

Alright that explains it.

I'm guessing a old build? No way you should have bought a HD 7850 for $200.

That, or some people don't update their list with the prices they actually paid.

Sorry, updated the list, my first time doing that so I didn't pay attention too closely.

Correct!

Gaming and homework doesn't need 16GB of RAM, unless it's video rendering or simulations of some sort.

Also, why go for a velociraptor when you could have gotten a similar sized, better performing SSD for a similar price?

That is my next upgrade possibly, the velociraptor was dirt cheap when I purchased it (updated in the description), and I was a bit shakey on SSD's reliability at the time. Plus I don't mind if something takes an extra second or two to load up.

Nice build, could have used a little less ram, but oh well. I like the case though, very cool!

Why the velociraptor instead of an ssd? SSD's blow HDD's out of the water, 10000 rpm's or not. Could definitely get more storage for less with an ssd, also.

And a 7850 for 200$? sheesh...

I edited my description, first time posting something like that on here, I was a little shakey on trusting SSD's back when I got that, and the price at the time was dirt cheap, it was knocked way down in price when I got it.

And yeah I got the card very close to when it came out, so the price was high at the time, I'll probably get a 7950 in the winter, if I can get a decent steal on one.

Some odd choices for 1500 dollars, could have gotten much better performance.

Yeah this was all acquired over time, not in a single build and not by using this website for all the parts (only a couple to be precise), and I updated it, much cheaper than 1500 dollars, and that's including the expensive mouse and keyboard.

I wish I had your homework, calculus sucks.
