My first PC build knowing what i know now i probably would have gone up to $1500 and used an i7 - 9700k and a 2070 super but this thing still preforms really well. The i5 is overclocked to 5ghz on all cores along with a 120mhz core clock and 1000mhz boost on the 1660ti. It gives me a solid performance at 1440p usually with 90 fps on games like Destiny 2 and Metro Redux at a mix of high to ultra settings. Also probably could have gone with a smaller and cheaper case but after working in the h700 and looking at it everyday its hard for me to find a case I like better than it.

Only thing i would add would be some rgb in the front area of the case to balance it out a bit. Other than that super build! 8600k is a sweet cpu!

I mean rgb isn’t a necessity as he has plenty of blue LEDs. Maybe his colour scheme is black, white and blue. Rgb doesn’t suit everyone and the blue LEDs really compliment his build in this case.

yeah i think a led strip would do pretty well by the fans to make it not seem so dark

Very nice build. I trimmed a bit off the cost of mine by leaving the ssd off. The Barracuda is a great drive, but I suspect I'll want an SSD in the future. I did use a smaller case, Fractal Design Focus G, and I understand perfectly why you chose what you did.
