How's the XFX 390? I've been debating XFX or MSi for a while. Nice build! +1

i recommend MSI. They overclock really well and have good customer service. I owned an msi 270x and it ran cool, looked great and just overclocked well. They factory overclock so you are getting good out of box peformance too

I have an MSi R9 270 right now, not cutting it anymore so gotta upgrade within the next 6 months or so. I was thinking the MSi 390 or if Pascal is out by then and their 300 dollar GPU has a backplate, I'm all for it. The only thing stopping me from a 970 is vRam and lack of backplates. :/

Nice build, does that XFX R9 390 have a zero fan mode?

No, they idle at 20% fan speed.
