Description

My first PC build:) Took me 6 months to finish my rig.

Uses: 1. Light to Mid gamer (I only play if I'm bored) 2. Photoshop 3. Day to day PC

CPU- I decided to go for 6700K. I really want to learn how to overclock(totally new to me) Asus Maximus VIII- Looks cool and its between extreme and ranger. Noctua D15s- My goal here is non water cooled build Kingston- 16GB looks promising when I saw in Youtube with JJ

Storage: 2x- 1TB WB blue (mine and my wife) 2x- 2TB external WB (1 each more on Data saving) 120 Samsung SSD- OS and software that are important (Willing to format) 250 Gig Samsung SSD- Software for photo editing 64gig USB stick- Decided not to go with CD rom

PSU- Corsair 860W I pick this because its platinum

Corsair Air 540- My study room is small and I got small desk.. Cube type Case is way to go to my list. Plus excellent if your lazy with cable management:)

OS- Windows 10 64-bit

Fans: - NoctuaNF-A15 to my CPUcooler - 2x SP Red LED (rear and infront of Vcard) - 3x AF Red LED (Front and top)

Graphics: - Samsung 28 Inches (Freesync) - AMD R9 Fury Asus (I really want to go R9 fury X but my goal is all Air cooled)... I want to try AMD this time.. Ive done Green card before.

Peripherals: -K70 Corsair keyboard -M65 Corsair -Sennheiser G4me Zero (I fully recommend this one) -Logitech Z623 (Value for money this one is AWESOME) -Logitech C920 (Full HD with skype) -NZXT Hue+ (Will install soon)

I like the build but the monitor is lackluster... No GSYNC, 60hz... for $600 you could have gotten an ROG Swift 27" 1440p, 144hz, gsync, ips for $600.

Hi Jbinn.... Gsync is for team Green... I decided to try AMD:) its freesync monitor... its not too bad..

Problem with monitor is that you can't tilt the angle...

Watch out for my second build:) I'll go AMD CPU with Nvidia Vcard and Gync monitor:)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the R9 Fury have HDMI 1.0? That would bottleneck your 60hz 4k screen and limit its fps to 30! Big problem.

After doing some research on this card the HDMI port is 1.4a

"The GPU also includes an HDMI sound device. It is HDMI 1.4a compatible, which includes HD audio and Blu-ray 3D movies support."

This should have no bottleneck doing 4K.

Hehehehe

My project is air cooled PC... Nocuta is so far the most efficiet air cooled system... Looks ugly but Effective:)

Mouse is good if your a FPS type of guy.. I love the weight of it.. I really need to change my steel series mouse pad to a big wide Pad.. its bit annoying adjusting time to time because of my glass table :)
