anyone know if best buy would match microcenter for an i7????

idk good luck with that, all these people want is to rip people's money off. Try Fry's.

well best buy said they would match ANY competitor, id try it

You can try but don't expect them to agree. I even tried during the holidays when Best Buy was price matching everyone. Three different stores and no luck.

There policy for brick & mortar stores is it has to be within 25 miles of them.

ahhh well isnt micro center a competitor???

says 189$ for in store pick up but they advertise the price online. so i guess its worth a try

  • 1 point

you can def price match it. just depends on your store. i worked at bestbuy in febuary just see if your store does it.

Not true i worked at bestbuy in febuary. Its not all of them it just depends on your store. We matched anything that we could and if it wasnt in our system we'd look it up and see if we could find it online. if we did we'd pricematch it.

Maybe you should read corporate policy for price matching. I have and I have never worked there.

Im interested to know what the digital reader is on the front of your tower and if one such as myself could add it to their own.

Hey I wanted to know how you liked the Logitech Mouse? In your opinion do you find it as good as wired for FPS games? I am trying to decide on a mouse and I really want to get a wireless mouse.

Sorry for the delayed response, haven't been on here lately. In case you haven't picked up another mouse, I highly recommend this one. I use it frequently with FPS and MMORPG both wired/wireless and do not plan on ditching this anytime soon. It might not have as many buttons as other mouses but the placement of what's there feels very natural and it's easy for me to differentiate for separate commands. Being able to switch DPI on-the-fly in a shooter jumping from sniper to an automatic is very nice as well.

Decent build. Love seeing balanced builds. I would have gone with a samsung 840 pro, gigabyte udh4 motherboars or ud5h. Aside from that atleast its not a crappy ssd or exteme 4.

Thanks! This will certainly evolve over time. I spent a few years away from the PC building community so I wasn't entirely sure about all of the components. Was a little impatient about the build so I didn't vet all the components through the community.

why did you put your mac in the photo? it is not part of the computer, it is just kind of weird when people put any piece of technology they own in these pictures

To me it looks like he's showing off what the monitor/desk area looks like all said and done during everyday use. Many people do it, most just don't have a macbook.

I use my Mac for work and PC for gaming - I work from my home office so the desk and monitor gets split between the two depending on what I have going on.

AS5 isn't good. That CPU cooler on a 2k+ build is laughable.

Thanks! I'm sure I could have done things differently but I'm pretty happy with the results.

The evo does pretty well for decent oc, not sure how much oc he'll be doing.

Gaming/work build. This is my first build in quite a few years so I wouldn't dream to think I made all the right choices. I have a mild OC on this thing - it's been treating me pretty damn well since I put it together :)

While I game heavily on this build I also use it for many other functions related to work (primarily design and multimedia creation/editing).
