I got this PC 2nd hand for $1000, It's a beast, love it. Plays anything at ultra at 60+ frames
For a grand, this was a steal. Good job. Was the seller desperate for the cash? And are sure the seller didn't steal it? Lol
He needed the cash for reasons i won't state but it wasn't stolen, comes with warrenties
Yeah life can throw you a curve ball at times. I have seen people try to sell their rigs on Craigslist for various reasons (lost employment and they need cash for rent/mortgage, need money for a car/fix their car.)
it was a sad story, but **** happens
Was this Craigslist or something? For a grand, it's a pretty good bargain, even if some of the parts aren't very good... like that Razer gear. But even if you take away the price of all of that Razer gear, it's still a bargain.
It came with the monitor, razer naga, razer anansi, plantronics gamecom 777 and the pc itself. And i'm in Australia, it was on Gumtree
With those parts I would hope so.
Only thing that I would change is the case. Not really a fan of that interior.
Not a fan of it either, but it's fine
I wasn't aware that dragons shaved..... I imagine it would be even more difficult with this particular razer.
I was more naming it as a dagger, like Mehrunes Razor from skyrim, The Dragon Razer it was
I know, I was being sarcastic.
Very nice bargain, take care of it!
I will, the other side panel is so full of cables i dare not to open it again unless i really need to
I'm Probably going to buy a 2tb hdd, a 120gb ssd and a modular power supply in the near future
Beast mode ON!
900 watts a little too much sir.
And it's non modular... cables are smooshed in the back.
1) ew orange case
2) 2 mice? what
4) mamba's overpriced/overrated
5) razer fanboy much?
6) a high end build with no ssd?
my point is that you shouldn't jump to critical conclusions, especially ones that are clearly labeled in what little of a description OP has made. what may seem like an undesired selection may be the simple fact that the OP had some parts on-hand, wanted some specialized equipment for a certain task, or in this case bought it second-hand and had no control over what they got out of it.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Couldn't have said it better myself, i owned the mamba before i got this and got the naga with it, also a free xbox controller
nope, when I saw this he never mentioned what price he bought it for. also when he bought it second hand I thought he upgraded the parts.
and normally a gaming mobo, gaming gpu and gaming peripherals are used for: you guessed it! gaming.
while i may agree with your first point (happens a lot on this site), i wouldn't assume your second point if it was second-hand unless the OP said otherwise.
and a gaming GPU and gaming motherboard don't necessarily mean gaming even though it's a logical conclusion. many people use Maximus and Crosshair motherboards purely for overclocking even though they are marketed as gaming boards. gaming graphics cards can be and have been used in content creation like in video editing. gaming peripherals are also typically built to have more features and be made of higher quality components, especially mechanical keyboards, which would lead to extended longevity.
that being said, it's entirely possible that, even though the OP uses hardware advertised for gaming, they could be using it for overclocking and/or content creation. as for the peripherals, that's usually the OP's decision, so i don't comment on that too much.
purely for gaming and browsing the internet, although i might get into make youtube videos, i definately have the horsepower to do so
Read the 2 sentence description?
not every one thinks an ssd is necessary
2 one i already owned, one came with the pc
4 shh i love wireless
5 not fanboy, just good products
6 not my decision because it was 2nd hand, i plan to add one soon though
are you colorblind, dude? that's orange. lol
IM THE ONE WHO HAS IT IN MY ROOM, its red IRL
edit: I now realize you have the shittiest camera ever than turns red orange.
lol its a cheapy camera, it does the job
I wouldn't expect high FPS. CPU would be a huge bottleneck with the GPU. Go with an i7 or an FX.
What!? i5 is one of the best processors you can get. No chance of a bottleneck. Not with a 780.
By 1 frame. 1 frame. Not worth 100 more bucks :)
I5 will not bottleneck. I5 can even handle tri gpu and quad sli, with the correct mobo that has a plx chip.
that is 100 percent not true. i recently did a bottlenecking test with my FX-8350 and GTX570 at stock, then put it through Unigine's Valley benchmark (which i thought would represent a typical GPU-bound gaming scenario). i had found that only by taking the CPU down to one dual-core module at 3.0GHz was i able to observe a true hardware bottleneck.
that's right; i had to reduce an AMD Piledriver part down to 1/4 of its hardware capacity and 3/4 of its operating speed in order to experience a hardware bottleneck on a GPU that would compare nowadays to a GTX 760. if anything will be bottlenecking the OP's system, it would be the GPU.
if anyone was curious, my settings were DirectX 11, Ultra quality, 4xAA, and windowed 1920x1080
that **** will never bottleneck in a gpu intensive game
no the i5 will only bottleneck it if he did sli and plus he can overclock the cpu
No sir. Read the link I posted. I5 is an awesome gaming cpu.
I posted my post before you posted the link and I was going on what other people told me on a different website
No worries mah friend. From what I have read on various hardware sites, from a purely gaming standpoint, i5 is the way to go. Best to use the difference between an i5 and an i7 towards a better gpu and or cooling.
That's ACTULLY a better idea. Just don't go crazy with the overclock...
No offense but don't talk about something unless you know about it, an i5 will not bottleneck a 4-way sli 780ti rig unless you deactivate 2 of its cores and underclock and undervolt it substantially. Bottleneck is an overused term, especially because people don't know when to use it.
Ok, Ill put it this way then. All benchmarks will tell you that your GPU is better than your CPU. I have had bottlenecked systems before. Not fun. I was just putting my input in. You don't need to try to tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. If you knew who I was, you would eat dirt right now. Lets all just be friends.
Internet bad boy right here!
EDIT: Also, CPU bottlenecks only appear in CPU intensive games... ARMA comes to mind for this, but shouldn't even really be an issue. Also, I don't see where this says it's a benchmarking PC.
Having slightly lower performance because of a cheaper processor isn't a bottleneck. Just to make sure you understand:
Poke, who are you dude? I wanna see people eat some dirt.
