Neighborhood kid bought a few parts and then never did anything with them so I bought the mobo, ram, and case from him. Filled in the blanks, and put it together.

I am really surprised at how well games run on here. After being spoiled with 1440p/1080ti/gsync I didn't know what to expect. It's great! I played pubg on here for a few hours as soon as it was built, no chicken dinners but no issues either.

Update 5/4/18 I got that chicken dinner last night!

Part Reviews

runs surprisingly well and i have a 8700k daily driver

good looking... check, only runs at 2933 on ryzen, 67mhz lost! ffs

I have this in a budget build and I have put samsung 960 evo's in my last 2 builds. real world differences? I haven't noticed or been let down

Video Card

runs well, its strange to see gpu usage bounce the way these cards do. doesnt line up well in the corsair 400c with msi b350 tomahawk and makes it look like it has dramatic card sag. I used a PCIE slot cover to prop it up, perfect size.

Power Supply

great reviews on this as far as power delivery.

TY. I wasn't satisfied with the way things panned out in the back of the case (very limited space) so I removed all of the cables and started over. Check back tomorrow for some updated pics.

I found something yesterday watching a video and it was and AMD Combat Crate which comes with a Ryzen 5 1600, a MSI B350 tomahawk motherboard, and an RX 580 8GB FOR ONLY 550 dollars.

Anyway great build nonetheless! Some real nice cable management!

TY. I also saw those crates yet i haven't seen one with the arctic motherboard and I'm happy to say that i got a better deal on my parts :)

build looks good. You know you can manually set prices for things in the parts list? so its better to have the correct part then manually set the price. its especially important in some builds, like SLI 1080tis bought at $750 each but current prices are $1200 each, it massively skews the build price. +1

hey thanx. I knew about the manual pricing yet i wanted to make the price more realistic. No one is going to spend an extra $100 to get this sold out board instead of the darker version. I'll probably mend the parts list

In your rx580 review, you said you used a pcie slot cover to prop up your card. How did you do that? I am not seeing the sllot cover in the pictures, maybe missing it though.

If you look at the second picture you can see the PCIE cover going from the GPU power connector to the power supply shroud
