Description

This is a PC that I built for my stepbrother! He does a good amount of animation and editing but he also enjoys games so I gave him the best of both worlds with an I5 4690 liquid cooled by a corsair H60 and his light gaming is powered by an EVGA GTX 960 ACX 2.0. I went for silence with this as well, the nearly silent H60 pairs great with the sound dampening interior of the Define R4 from fractal design. An all around great build for $1,000 USD

You should put the gpu in the pci-e slot 1/ upermost slot

Why? It covers up the grossness of the bottom of the mobo

You'll get better bandwidth from the 970, hence better performance.

both slots say pciex16 on them

it won't impact performance but it will impact cooling, having it higher gives the fans more room of fresh air underneath

Top slot is 16x so it's faster

I don't think that it will be an issue in X8 mode I don't think that all the bandwidth is used. But there is a high chance I am wrong!!!!!
