Description

Well my first real PC build, most of my experience came from a past computer i did with my friend who does this for a living but he did most of the work(i just watched and learned). i wanted to go all out (which i think i did on my payroll) and have plenty of room to upgrade if i feel the need. the SSD is very impressive in fact I'm blown away how fast i can jump into a game of battlefield 4. overall it went very well, i ordered the parts as i got paid at work so it took a lil while to get everything but its done other than the two case fans and HDD in the mail I'll be putting those in next week.

As far as upgrades go i will be getting another monitor i don't care for eyefinity just want one for ease of access. (I looove to multitask) i wont be doing any OC'ing until the new case fans are in but at the moment the GPU hits about 61° under load and CPU hits 58°. i will be updating temps after the over clock which i should able to at least hit 4.2Ghz on the CPU and not to sure on GPU so im aiming for 1050 to 1100Mhz (i've never OC'ed a GPU before :{

as expected performance is great i get 85 to 100 fps in bf4 on ultra settings, let me know if you guys have any questions about it i'd be happy to reply sorry if i dont have any picture of the cable management but i realy dont feel like putting that side panel back on.

P.S. sorry about the two pictures at the end they are there and it wont let me remove those two specific pics for some reason >[ figures. Hey just wanted to add this in here since i had a couple friends ask about the name behind this build Dunamas is a Greek word for power or strength

To overclock your GPU, start with a 10% boost on core speed and 20% on memory. From there, test your temps in games and overclock in 5-10% increments. You should be able to overclock well on the GPU (I have the same cooler on my Asus GTX 680 and the same case without the window) and I stay around 25-27 degrees Celsius and up to around 42 degrees Celsius under load in BF3, and that's only with 10% on core and 20% on memory. By the way, how are you liking that keyboard?

cool thanks for the info, key board is very nice dont care for the macro keys but over all they leds arent too bright, the key have a lil jiggle room if that bother you but overall its a great keyboard i am impressed by a cooler master peripheral

How is the color on that monitor at 144hz?

its good i messed with the gamma and contrast to get better color out of it, and i run it with 120hz and light boost and it works very well i get virtually no blur

Ah nice build. Personally I wouldn't have gotten just a little cheaper motherboard and put that money in a bigger SSD or just in my pocket. But this is a very nice build and I hope it works well :)

yes i did go over board with the mobo but i wanted everything to look the same (of course that cooler kinda throws it off huh? lol) but i got a promotion at work when i started building this so i had the placebo effect of being rich and able to do anything

OC'ing a GPU is really easy with GPU Boost 2.0

+1 for a sexy build.

haha thnx yea my case fans are coming in the weekend i fiddled with gpu boost and its a lot simpler than cpu overclocking so i think il be just fine

How did you manage to make GPU work on the second PCIe slot? My graphic card runs only if installed on the first slot (otherwise i see a no signal black screen).

i didnt do anything, lol. the cooler is actually blocking the top slot so i put it in where i could i had no problems. i was originally running off the intel integrated and when i popped in the card i just selected it as the display device in settings
