Return of The Recycled PC

by drastking

Description

so a few months ago i posted my original computer, where i disassembled an old Athlon ii x2 HP computer from a business, i then upgraded the ram, the CPU and the hard drive, followed by another upgrade to a 7950 and the current case

So, why did i switch from a 7950, well i found the 7950 to be way to loud and too hot, even if it was considered to have the best cooler. and i also switched to a named PSU to prevent any damage.

All of the parts are good enough for my needs and plays all of my games on medium or above at 1080p on my monitor at 60fps. the psu is actually an aerocool psu, as it was cheap and bronze certified, and has served me well thus far.

Feel free to ask any questions

Part Reviews

Video Card

Fast and has a surprisingly good cooler, good enough for 1080p

Case

Plenty of room for cable management, can fit massive GPUs, and can have 5 fans, whats not to like?

Named units are the ones from Cooler Master, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, and Thermaltake.

If they can't make a unit that's fully-modular and actually SELL it, they likely aren't a brand to trust. Does XFX make fully-modular units, or at least semi-modular units?

80+ is not the best basis. Yes, reputable brands most likely have 80+ ratings on their units, but sometimes that's not always true. My 500W 80+ certified Rocketfish never really was... as good. Did last a while though.
