Description

HTPC/Gaming build. Haven't built a computer myself, technically, ever until now. I know you peeps are gonna say I should have used a non-stock CPU cooler, but I am not going to overclock, and the airflow of the case is excellent. Also, yes, I should have better cable management. I agree.

Also: For those of you considering using this power supply in the prodigy, keep in mind it is an EXTREMELY tight fit. It can work, and I chose it for how quiet it is, but those stupid flat cables make everything very cramped.

I can't really see crazy wires in general. I saw like three wires/cables all together that I'd tuck away... but I don't know the layout of the case. So meh. Hope you enjoyed building this. The experience is important too!

I really did enjoy building it, it was awesome! The big issue, cable-wise, were the power supply's wide cables refused to twist or turn, i have no idea why it doesn't just have normal cables, I don't see any benefit to the weird ribbon ones.

If you find yourself with some money, Try moddiy.com. they custom sleeve cables very nicely and if you've any questions about the process, they have live chat on their site. They can even do specific length cables by request. I used them for both the computers we own and it looks great. Only thing is they're in hong kong but shipping is free-cheap. The nzxt psu in my 'completed build' came with the same cables you jave and I feel you're frustration lol Goodluck m8

The tight fit is more due to the modular connectors on the cables more than the cables themselves, especially on the 24 and 8-pin connectors. If the PSU didn't have the flat cables, routing would probably be even tougher.

Could you post some things for me please? i just got this GPU, now i think im due a processor, motherboard and ram upgrade, due to low frames while playing on max or ultra settings

Could you post FPS you get in certain games while playing on MAX settings? would like to know whether i will see a difference as this is the processor i will be getting

thanks

I would of went for a cheaper mobo as the i5 u have isn't overclockable(as far as I know) maybe a 100 dollar board but other that nice m-itx board.

Curious why you went with a $170 Z87 motherboard when you have a non-K I5 and have no intentions on overclocking?
