Description

This build is for my wife. Primarily going to be used as a photo/video editing machine, as well as for general purpose tasks (web browsing, email, lighter games). I'll probably game a bit on it too.

We're using Asus' GTX 950-2G because it has a really quiet set of fans and only runs on 75 watts of power. It is a neat card. No 6-pin connector to plug in; just the PCIe slot. Very neat.

It is using the stock cooler. The case has the stock fans in it. It's mostly an all-black build to just get out of the way and be unobtrusive.

I asked her what she wanted to name it, and told her it had to be "something cool". She just said she'd call it "the computer", so that is its name.

Added in-use pictures! I'm waiting to do some better cable management until I get the GPU, and we're using an old TV for a monitor right now. The lighting in the case is pretty fun. Very generous port layout on the back. No problems with the I/O.

Something cool to note about the motherboard: Gigabyte thew in an magnetic wifi antenna that sticks to the back of the case! It's great!

Edit: Swapped out the 850 EVO for an M.2 850 EVO. It was a pain because the slot is on the rear of the motherboard, so if you're going M.2 do it from the start.

Always love it when people use the 380T for a build.

I'm envious yours is built and looks good to go! I just started building my 380t. Did you have a molex or SATA for powering your 3-speed fan connector? The corsair build log showed that I should have a molex. I didn't see it.
