Description

I've been working on this for a while. The parts have been upgraded slowly over the course of 6 months or so. I'm pretty happy with everything but the motherboard. I'll probably upgrade it in a couple months. Feel free to suggest one.

I apologize for the awful cable management.

Why did you choose an 2x 500GB HDD instead of a Terabyte for maybe 5 bucks more?

maybe to put them on raid 0 for games and stuff, combining the 2 would be faster then a single 1Tb drive, just sayin.

Though in that situation i still would have got another drive just for storage like i did with mine.

raiding hdd gives you like a 2-4 percent boost in loading you cant make ((((((rpm)))))s go any faster thats why all tech people only recommend raid 0 in ssd and raid 1 for hdd for the redundancy

I originally just had the one 500GB hard drive and bought a second one and another 8GB of RAM for another build. I decided to not do that build and just tossed them into my main.

The first build I've seen with r9 270x CF, why didn't you like that motherboard?

The motherboard's kinda cheap, it's not the better known Z77-V; this model has cut-down VRMs and VRM cooling I think as well as other features. Asus has some pretty crappy entry level boards.

Damn I was thinking in getting that board, wich motherboard do you recommend for 1155? no overclocking?

Great build man. How is that card in CF? I have the same one (Gigabyte 270x 4gb) by itself and I find it great on its own, but I'm considering buying a 2nd. Any idea what your power draw is in CF?

The card is amazing in crossfire. I can max out every game I've tried with great frame rates. I get 80-120 FPS in Metro: Last Light and my FPS only slightly dips under 60 in some areas of Battlefield 4 on multiplayer but it's usually well over 60. I was having to run both games at medium high settings on a single 270X to get >= 60FPS.

I've heard it is near silent, is that true? The only downside I find is that it totally looks like my fridge

that is a plus in my opinion.
