Description

Hi guys, this is the first PC I bought and built on my own. My laptop's broken and I was in urgent need to do schoolwork and play some games, so decided to buy a PC instead of another laptop. I use this rig for lightweight gaming and college productivity. I dream of higher performance gaming PC but this is the best I can afford with a strict $450 budget (including monitor)

APU
Pros : Fast. Powerful. Decent iGPU which run most recent games at low to medium settings with no problem. Cons: Stock cooler is a junk. Replaced it with CM 212 Evo.

CPU Cooler: Bought this one after 2 weeks I built the PC. Much much better than stock cooler.

Motherboard :
Made a mistake buying this one. Don't get me wrong. It works great, simple BIOS with fine display. Bad because it has no room for upgrades. Only has 2 RAM slots, ports are SATA 3Gb/s and doesn't support either SLI or Crossfire. Too late to return it now.

Memory :
Didn't know this APU works best with 1866 MHz RAM (Should go with 1866 instead since its price is much similar to 1600). However, this runs just fine.

Storage : Bought a used one. Great HDD for the price.

Case : Purchased it because it came with a PSU. After listened to some advices and after some money came in, I upgraded the included PSU to a Corsair a month later.
Pros : Cheap. Received in perfect condition. Cons: Small space. Can't fit my CM Evo.

Power Supply(Corsair): So far, it works great. A bit quieter than Logisys included PSU. 600W might be overkill for my current build but considering the fact that I will buy powerful GPU in the future, it's definitely a good investment. Got it on sale anyway.

It's amazing so far. Fast. iGPU is quite good. If you like to play games and don't care about playing with low to medium graphic settings, this APU totally worth the money compare to buying expensive GPU.

Yeah, I don't mind that much, NO matter if it is at the lowest settings, if it runs smooth, that ok for me!

you took out the stock psu? its fine for me i guess you don't like non modular bad one. Also that case i got the red one. They don't have it on pc part picker so i acted like my build was the blue one. also how you get that hard drive that cheap. your build is cheap. like mine except i went with intel.

I like your build, my old real gripe is that you didn't go with 1866 mhz ram or higher. The price isn't so much different but the internal GPU's gains from having faster frequency memory on APU is high. Still, you've got room to improve, your PSU is much better than would go in most budget builds.
