Description

Hi all!

18 year old new to PC gaming and the tech scene in general. Started off from a £500 loan from the large software company I work at and when I got paid I decided I might as well put a bit more into it!

CPU - Great for any budget gamer, or budget builder at all. Seen low temps (45 celcius playing GTA at ultra with light multitasking) and decent benchmarks so far. Real world wise, it has noticeably quick processing and that's all I need! Does the job. 8/10

GPU - Soooo happy with this buy. Black Friday deal from the amazing Overclockers UK, who sent it the next day well packaged for just £205+postage! It got a graphics score in the DX11 demo run on 3Dmark of 12800. Not sure if that's anything to go off, but haven't done any real benchmarking yet. That 8GB of VRAM is amazing used in GTA. I got 60fps+ at 1080p on GTA, at almost max on all settings and don't have many more demanding games yet (lol till the next weekly sale). Really smooth, decent drivers (Crimson was patched the day I finished my build). Oh also it's slightly outdoing my best mates GTX 970.. bring on the arguments haha. Due to price per FPS I'm going HAM on this card. 10/10

PSU - didn't want to suck up my low budget with a top top quality supply, so settled for G1 series. Will need to change to higher wattage if I go crossfire, shame. Enough for now 8/10

RAM - It's RAM. It looks nice in my board. It's fast enough to not feel slow I guess. Lol. 8/10

SSD - What a steal (£39.99). Had the 120GB and instantly returned it when I saw the price of this 240GB. Loads very very fast, too fast for me, a guy who has only used public school PC's, and work computers. Does the job I want and cheap £/GB. 9/10

HHD - Does the job somehow found it for £25 locally in a small store. 7/10

I got my OS on reddit! Great move the first key worked a beauty. All other peripherals are fine for my gaming needs, thoroughly enjoying my ascension and my first build. In under 3 hours too! Haha stupid CPU cooler had me sat there for 1 hour trying to figure out which bolts were AMD..

Overall pleased with this as I researched for 2 months and it has came off so well! recomend this exact system or equivalent to any new gamer on a similar budget!

PC MASTER RACE.

Thanks,

Nathan

Beautiful, edgy design with no bezels is perfect for me. Love the 2 of these I have. will always use ASUS for monitors now"!

Looks fun. How are you enjoying the G430s thinking about picking up a pair.

Very good quality.. love the finish and the feel too. Worth every penny if it's your first headset, or even if you're more serious about the audio!

had them for about a month now.. sort of painful after wearing them for more than half an hour, maybe I just need to wear them in more tho! besides that great headset :-)

+1 Nice Red Team build. Get that second memory stick (match the one you have) as it is a dual channel board. Not a big deal but feels so asymetrical. lol

I have 2x4! My next upgrade will be getting another 2 sticks to make 16GB of 1866MHz RAM. Also another drive and adding/improving fans :-)

I saw $0.00 and "Slightly over budget" and was about to crack a joke... until I saw you actually had prices entered in pounds.
