Description

This is the first PC i have built. The build went well, only issue i came across was that i could mount a 140mm fan on the back of the case (Define R5) when the H115i was installed.

Looking forward to doing some more.

Part Reviews

CPU

Overclocked well great chip

CPU Cooler

Corsair Link lets this down otherwise works really well. compatability issues in the fractual define R5 if you want a 140MM fan on the back

Motherboard

Gave the PC its name as its always changing its colours Great board

Storage

boots up fast wish i would have gone for the M.2 though

Video Card

i couldnt get anymore out of her! but destroys most games i play

Power Supply

more than enough for my needs not held back by link software

Monitor

the best most feature full 60hz monitor in my eyes i love it

Keyboard

Rubber feet fell off and plasticy feel i like the switches though

Mouse

Works great but picks up dust on the bottom and i have know idea where from

Headphones

Great soundstage and brilliant to use

Headphones

good gaming headset, removable ear cups would be nice and a better mic

Speakers

good sound but the plug is fiddly and annoying it often loses power and needs to be set right. possibly the 2-3 pin aadapter that came with it

No!!!! You listed the HERO ALPHA but you use the FORMULA!!!! look at your rgb motherboard! the "Formula" is rgb. and delete your review on the Alpha.

It's too bad those gigabyte cards don't show the led ring (around the fans) too well in a traditional case

Noblechiefton submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

yeah its a pain

I'm also planning on getting the define r5 and the h115i cooler.

How did you manage your fans since the back fan is incompatible with the h115i?

Noblechiefton submitter 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

i Just did awaty with it i have 2 intakes on the front and 2 exhaust on the radiator. I think you could squeeze a 120mm on the back but my temps are fine.

It seems to be a problem with these cards, yours looks a bit thicker than the one I used in my wifes build. But there is nothing that can be done aside from making a custom brace and bracing it up on the floating end.
