Description

I've wanted to build a PC since 2016. I've been gaming on PS3/PS4 & X-Box for 11 years. I figured it was time for some1440p, 144hz gaming. I'm starting to tinker with DaVinci Resolve as well. Added a couple of Phanteks Halos to the Noctua fans. RAM set at 3600mhz. Overclocked CPU to 4.2GHz using RyzenMaster.

I bought it at MicroCenter in Tustin and they updated the bios right there in store, free of charge.

Great build! +1 What are your cpu temps like with that Hyper 212 cooler?

50 celsius idle, overclocked to 4.2MHz. Half the time, when I'm just browsing or watching YouTube, I switch to AMD Ryzen Power Saver in Windows Power Options. That takes it down to 2195MHz, 38 celsius.

Nice but what about under load? What are temps like?

Roughly 66 celsius, when gaming.

Sorry if it's a dumb question since I'm new to this myself. Why'd you go for the DDR4-3600 when the max speed on the B450-F is listed as 3200?

That is actually a good question. I hadn't settled on B450 or X570 at the time. It still allows 3600 for some reason.
