Description

Inspired by Ruzeki's build : https://pcpartpicker.com/b/xPCypg

But cheaper !

A simple, beautiful enough machine based on the Ncase M1 Silver, and Skylake i5.

i5-6600k - not oc'd

kfa2 gtx980

8gb ddr4 2133

950 pro M.2 512gb

Wanted something small enough to put under my tv in the living room, yet being powerful enough for 4K gaming (tip: it is not : playing in 1920x1080, sufficient enough)

Temps are very, very cool.

Tip : the SilverStone 600W SFX has a bad, bad, bad, noisy fan. That's the only fan producing noise. Corsair will soon release an 600W SFX PSU, I might change my SilverStone. Even the graphics card is silent enough.

two Ncase builds in a row? What a wonderful day! +1 for a pretty cool build. Also as a heads up, I am pretty sure Corsair already released their SFX PSU. I'm pretty sure I saw it in a build withen the past week here.

I like the minimalistic style of that case. Nice build!

Thanks everyone for your support. Finally added the last picture, of everything finally built.

The Corsair SFX PSU 600w is not available yet (2 months on amazon us, not even listed here in France)

I'm having the same issue with the power supply in my build... that fan is the loudest thing in there... I'm considering a fan swap, or going to the SFX-L 500W one with the 120mm fan (i'm running a 970, 2 hds and a slight OC on my 6700k, so not sure if I need 600W or not. PC part picker says i'm in the ~400w ballpark)

Any problems with the Samsung 950 with your mobo?

No, everything works really well with this drive. Speeds are as advertised, crystaldiskmark reaches 2600MB/s. The gain is not as visible as an hdd to ssd change though.

Well done man! Let us know if you do end up getting the new PSU. Also, you could run a HTC Vive on that! :-D

Thanks man !

Well, the Silverstone ended up being much more silent lately.

And the Vive does not come cheap here in Europe (899€ ...), so I am waiting for this tech to get cheaper and better over time.
