Description

I use this machine mainly for gaming, but also homework and web browsing. It was my first build, and I picked out the parts with the intention of overclocking in the future and using it for heavy gaming. At this point I've also overclocked the CPU to 4.2 GHz.

I consider almost everything to have worked out really well, the only thing I would like to remove at this point would be the DVD drive, just because I've only used it once, to install Windows 7.

How did you apply your thermal paste?

I didn't use any. No, but really. I put a small dab in the center of the processor and then screwed the heatsink in. I haven't had any issues with cooling even when overclocked.

That's exactly what you're supposed to do. Good job.

Cable management was really bad, but I just came from looking at a $3000 PC with a 660 and an i3 CPU. So this looks WAY better! :P

Yeah, I'm aware the cable management is horrible. It wasn't a major concern while I was building it. I'm gonna have to redo it some time.
