Description

All started 2011 with part picking at an online provider and paying some extra bucks for receiving a finished rig but had to change a few things over time so technically it is my first build.

Original Build: ~ 1.200 at this time

i5 2500k @3,3Ghz, MSI z68.., Scythe (a big japanes named one)=, Kingston 2x4Gb Blu 1333Mhz, Kingston SSDNow v+200 90Gb, Samsung HD105SI 1TB, GTX 570 Phantom, Antec 900 (Fenzy looking but not the best case imo), NestQ 750W E2CS X-Strike SemiModular

It ran fine for about 3 years but at one point the GPU and MB broke randomly at same time. Had no clue how to build a computer before but learned it pretty quick through different Guids and youtube Videos as I was not willing to pay again about 1k for a new rig so I decided change the parts by myself. Purchased an Asus z77 an EVGA 750ti - 970Strix now - and decided to change CPU-Cooler to CM TX3 as well. 3 months later I couldn´t live with the Antec Case anymore is it was loud as hell and changed to a Fractal DR4 and added an additional 240 GB SSD for Steam Games and stuff. Few weeks ago one Kingston RAM stick burned his way to nirvana so I went for not really needed 16gb.

Remaind parts are of course the great CPU, SSD, HDD and PSU. All components are still doing a great job. Running GTA 5, Fallout 4 max at 60fps.

Wow, talk about some parts dying in a dramatic way. I would be freaking out if it were me. lol
Glad to know the rest of your parts are working and update the ones to replace into a up to date gaming rig. +1

Evolution rig - plus you learned something along the way. That's a win :)

I have the Mini version of the R4, awesome chassis!
