Description

Since some of the prices are not shown here is the full build list with prices including discounts/shipping etc. This build is a year old now so prices maybe different currently. Any input on the build suggestions for future upgrades or whatever are welcome. Having used this for mainly gaming and college work for the past year I can say it handles everything I throw at it with ease games like ARMA 3/Bioshock Infinite on max with no issues runs very silent and looks very clean. All in all very pleased with the build.

Nice build and great cable management! This'll last a while, although the GPU might be a little underpowered when Pascal rolls out. I just wish other people could read and realize the build was a year old and devil's canyon came out in July, while ACX at the end of the card's name means it has the ACX cooler.

My only complaint with the build is that, as a fellow EVGA power supply owner, the 8 pin power connectors are red! Who thought that was a good idea? Not to mention they look more pink in person. Now when I go re-case my system for a white S340 + MSI Krait build, I have to spend $100 for custom sleeved cables! Thanks Obama...

Yeah tried to make that clear that it was a old build cause I knew I might get some heat for some stuff haha but yeah thank you I do a lot of wiring in my work so that part was actually pretty easy (my OCD about stuff like that wont let it look bad). and thats true the red cabling is kinda weird I don't mind it to much it breaks up all the dark colors in the case.

Why not go for a 4690k. Think they're actually like $10 cheaper on Amazon right now. And on newegg they're also $239.99 Other than that, nice build. Enjoy it!

like I said this was built at the end of 2013 so the prices were a bit different back then. But yeah if I was building it now I would definitely spend the little extra for it. and thanks I have!

hyper 212 is facing wrong way imo

I agree. It appears to be blowing air down through the sink on to the gpu. Was that intentional?

I can see the shiny CM sticker on top of the fan, so I would say yes, he's sucking air in from the top and blowing all that hot air right on to the GPU. That's terrible! You need to turn that fan around immediately!

Back of Case <--- Exhaust Fan <---Hyper 212 ||X <---- Air

Hyper 212 should be set up like ||X, not like ==

Yeah these pictures were taking a year ago when I first built it, but yeah I did figure out that wasn't really the best setup for it and moved it around but thank you for the input. I not sure why I thought that would be better in the first place. Rookie mistake I guess :P

meh rather have a fan facing the wrong way than breaking 2 out of 4 feet on a Intel stock cooler my first time building and having the cooler on a Celeron hanging there rattling LOL

Nice build. If I could change one thing, it would be the name of the build. We all know that adding LED's to a PC adds a couple of ghz to both the CPU and GPU :)
