[UPDATE 24/6/17] Overclocked the CPU and graphics card Also its the Asrock AB350M <<<<NON Pro 4>>> motherboard, oops

This was a build for a friend that we did together. The PC would be for gaming, mostly League Of Legends and CS:GO. My friend was upgrading from an AMD A6 laptop. Prior to this, I had only installed new graphics cards, new CPUs and the coolers, hard drives and WiFi cards on PCs and laptops. The building phase was smooth and easy. I'd say the toughest part would be plugging in the front IO ports to the motherboard. When we tried to turn it on, there was no display. Turned out the motherboard was faulty and we got it RMA'd on the same day. The RX 580 was incredibly hard to find in the country I'm in (Singapore) and one storeowner who had the graphics cards go out of stock said that there was a whole lot of people going around buying heaps of RX 580s for Bitcoin mining. (I thought Bitcoin miners use ASICs but that's another topic for another discussion) Luckily, going from store to store, we finally managed to find a store with a single RX 580 in stock and it turned out to be this nice looking ASUS one and it very well matched the theme of the build. Got a discount as well! I was surprised the power supply worked as it is Tier 7 on the linustechtips forums but yay! Its the 550W version by the way. My friend is very satisfied on the final build and so am I. Chose B350 as I'm gonna overclock it soon. I have some experience overclocking before.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor

Great CPU for the money. Get them 4C/8T. Comes with a great stock cooler as well!

Motherboard

ASRock AB350M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

Motherboard was faulty but managed to RMA on the same day. Takes 2 minutes when posting for the first time. Solid. Nice BIOS and build quality

Memory

Crucial 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

Ugly but works

Storage

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Works as advertised.

Video Card

Asus Radeon RX 580 4 GB Dual Video Card

Absolutely destroys games @ 1080p. Highly recommended!

Case

Corsair 100R ATX Mid Tower Case

Great mid priced case. Cable management options were good and it came with zip ties. Disappointed in the single case fan though.

Power Supply

FSP Group HEXA+ 500 W ATX Power Supply

Some Tier 7 PSU. Don't go for it unless your budget dictates. Ugly cables. Otherwise pleasantly surprised it managed to run my system.

Wireless Network Adapter

D-Link DWA-582 PCIe x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter

Works great but quite costly.

Monitor

Dell SE2416H 23.8" 1920x1080 60 Hz Monitor

Nice looking monitor! IPS!!

Case choices were very limited at the store. They weren't any micro atx cases with side panel there, which my Friend wanted

Nice to see a (for all intensive purposes) full AMD build. Memory and SSD would make it proper. Pretty sure the memory is available not sure about the SSD. Either way nice to see AMD competing again. :)

the msi one has a different cooler and similar clocks. i would just buy which ever one is in stock because they are sold out everywhere (or consider team green 1060 3gb)

Have you had a chance to check fps on different games at ultra/max settings on 1080p? Does Rx480 deliver at least 60fps for all AAA titles or 2016/2017 games? I am planning to build one - Your feedback will be of help to me.

have not tried AAA titles but it works a dream in league of legends and CS:GO. RX 580, that is. It should do reasonably good in triple A titles though. However, poorly optimized games like ghost recon wildlands may only get you 40-50 fps on very high settings. take my word with a pinch of salt, check youtube videos on the specific games you want to play!

Thank You for replying !! I have been watching a lot of review lately - but wanted to directly get feedback from someone who owns :). I am confused if i should go with RX 580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB or spend extra bucks and get GTX 1070. With Ryzen 5 1400 - does it work well for gaming ?

honestly, if you are ONLY planning to do gaming, go with a i5-7600K, pair it with good cooling and go for GTX 1070, if not go for RX 580 if it costs too much.

Well that was the only 580 I could find in the whole mall I was in. Also, I'm not in the US, so things are more expensive. Could have gone with a 1060, but we wanted a full AMD build so.
