Description

Hi, this is my first pc build I wanted to get the best bang for my buck on games.

I just built it today and haven't yet installed a operating system so I can give you benchmarks on how its holds up on most games. But I can give you a little more info on the specs. and why I got them. CPU: This cpu has come highly recommended to me by many people. I got the FX 6300 because of the 6 cores and the overclocking ability. The cpu is great for a budget system. RAM:I was going for a blue look for this build, so I wanted to get 8gbs and still get an good blue scheme going. Not much else to say. PSU: This power supply isn't the one i'm using. I couldn't find it on PcPartPicker, so... I am actually using the RoseWill Stallion(Blue LED). It is a good looking 500w psu.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182076&cm_re=rosewill_stallion-_-17-182-076-_-Product MB: The mother board had all the connectors I needed plus some. On newegg, I payed $70 for it on sale instead of $100. So I think I got a pretty good steal. Plus the MB allows for OCing of the CPU and GPU. So I'm extremely happy with it. CPU Cooler: I wanted to OC and wanted a low profile cooler. So I started to look at the water coolers on the market. I was happy I found it for only $60. Case: I've had this case in mind since I started looking to build a pc. It was just $40 when I got it and was blue, so it kept my theme going. To be honest I wish this case was only a little bigger, which made cable management a lot harder. Overall for $40 I can say i'm happy. GPU: This GPU is just awesome. The gigabyte G1 Gaming addition is a huge and heavy GPU. Other than a little drooping because of the weight, it fit in the case fine. I love that it lights up blue where it says windforce, and it just has an amazing back plate. I will give more info tomorrow when I have used it in games, but for now I'd like to know what you guys think about my first build any feed back is appreciated.

A pretty good budget gaming build, though. I'm going to buy my first gaming build soon, was about to buy the Gigabyte G1 GTX 960 too, is it working well with you? Also the Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a very cosiderable option for me.

Great build. But you haven't stated which HDD/SDD you bought, though. I would recommend Western Digital Blue Caviar 1TB sata 6gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB cache HDD.

or an SSD :)

I have the Gigabyte G1 960 as well in my AMD FX 8320 build. It works great! WoW runs at 60 FPS on Ultra, something that a R9 290 can't do in that same system O.o!

There are two lights on the card on either side of the Gigabyte logo. One says Stop (Fan), other says Slient. When the card isn't being used, both light up and the fans stop, kind of like EVGA's ACX 2.0s on my 970s. It's really cool! I haven't tried heavier gaming but for MMOs, it seems to be very good!

Nice color scheme on your build, though could you take out some of the formatting in your description? it's not playing well with the site formatting. You could use this link for your power supply as well if you want to at least have it show rosewill, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-rv2500

I am using a WD 500gb hdd that was lying around. The video card is amazing. I got windows installed this morning, and have played a few games. In every game i have tried so far it is butter smooth on the highest settings. I'm going to install BF4 tomorrow and see how it does on ultra settings. So far I definitely recommend this card. I will be upgrading the storage and be getting another case fan soon. So I really can't wait for that. Thanks for the positive and constructive feedback.

The gpu is amazing to look at and I have played just a few games so far that are not very demanding. I will be trying BF4 later tonight on it so far I am very happy with it.

On the 960 I can play BF4 on ultra at 50 to 70 FPS. So It's amazing. Oh it is also not overclocked yet. I will do that tonight and let you know tomorrow. So I will rec. this GPU.

Where did you get that 960 where "windforce" is lit up LED? right now on newegg it doesnt look the same... I would buy right now for that LED look. its really slick.

I got the 960 off of newegg for $210 it is the "G1 Gaming" edition. It looks really nice inside the case. Other than the LED it is a heck of a 1080p graphics card. I definitely recommend it!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first ever build that uses solely the cloud for storage and is powered by love for GabeN.
